HAZY SERIES

Following on from the success of our first ever NEIPA, Last Train To Boston, we’re returning with more juicy, hoppy, and hazy brews. Introducing our Hazy Series – a limited collection with 4 different styles of hazy. To really challenge the creativity of our brewers, each Hazy Series release is a completely unique recipe, with one condition – it must be hazy!

The Hazy Series was created by our brewers to experiment with different hop combinations to showcase their skills. The end result? An explosion of distinct flavours, each with a tell-tale profile. Same style of beer, different fingerprint – Temple’s Hazy Series.

HAZY #1

DDH NEW ENGLAND IPA

Tropical and stone fruit flavours and aromas leap from the glass. A soft pillowy mouthfeel created from rolled oats in the mash. A hop-free boil with a generous whirlpool addition of Palisade lays the foundation for a cocktail of dry hopping.

HOPS – Palisade, Cryo Sabro,  Cryo Idaho 7, Citra

MALT – Pale, Rolled Oats, Rolled Wheat, Carapils

YEAST – Verdant IPA

Hazy #1 – Alex

“This brew is a special one that is reminiscent of my childhood. I wanted to make a beer that reminds me of my grandparents’ peach orchard, so hopefully you'll find strong flavours of tropical stone fruits that screams nothing but summer.”

HAZY #2

TDH DOUBLE NEIPA

Utilising a radical hop-free boil, this TDH Double NEIPA instead relies on a heavy whirlpool addition, and an even heavier dose of dry hopping to produce this big juicy hop bomb. Lashing of rolled oats and wheat create a fully thick mouthfeel bursting with crushed mango, bold tropical notes and hints of citrus.

HOPS – Motueka, Cryo Mosaic, Galaxy

MALT – Pilsner, Maris Otter, Rolled Oats, Rolled Wheat, Carapils

YEAST – Verdant IPA

Hazy #2 – James

“There’s nothing quite like a nice, thick, juicy hazy for the upcoming summer! I wanted to push the techniques of normal brewing a tad more while creating this hazy. With a completely hop-free boil, I managed to get as much of the popular juicy hop characters without any bitterness. Triple dry-hopped with 30% rolled oats and wheat, this hazy is packed with explosive tropical and fruity flavours of mango and pineapple.”

HAZY #3

KVEIK HAZY PALE
Ross’ entry in the Hazy series is a juicy, crushable hazy pale ale. T90 Motueka in the whirlpool, with a dry hop of T90 El Dorado and CRYO Citra. Fermented at 36°C, Voss Kveik yeast brings the noise with citrussy esters. Set phasers to FUN!

HOPS – Motueka, Cryo Citra, El Dorado

MALT – Victorian Ale, Rolled Oats, Caramalt

YEAST – Voss Kveik

Hazy #3 – Ross

“My challenge with Hazy #3 was to take everything James and Alex learned from brewing their awesome IPA’s, and squeeze it into a crushable 5.5% hazy pale ale. A hefty yet balanced dry hop addition of aromatic CRYO Citra and T90 El Dorado coax out lovely aromas of pear, lychee and pineapple, which interplay with the bright orange-y esters created by fermenting Voss Kveik yeast at 38+ (!) degrees. A pillowy body and restrained bitterness allow for maximum drinkability. I hope you enjoy drinking this beer as much as I enjoyed making it!”

HAZY #4

DDH DOUBLE NEIPA

Introducing our most outrageous mega hop monster to date! A mountain of rolled oats and wheat create a super thick body to support the huge whirlpool addition of INCOGNITO Mosaic and Ekuanot. Dry-hopped with a colossal trio of LUPOMAX Mosaic, Citra, and Amarillo for maximum punch. Fully loaded with all the juicy tropical and citrus flavours you know and love in a NEIPA!

HOPS – LUPOMAX Mosaic, Citra, & Amarillo

MALT – Pilsner, Maris Otter, Rolled Oats, Rolled Wheat

YEAST – Verdant IPA

Hazy #4 – at Melbourne Gabs 2021

"We wanted the series to climax with a big juice bomb and push the limits with ingredients whilst still keeping it drinkable. A massive amount of oats create a super full mouthfeel and some added sweetness. Using new hop products INCOGNITO and LUPOMAX, we upped the whirlpool addition of hops to add fruity tropical flavours and a layer of bitterness to keep everything balanced. Then two heavy dry hops to bring a punch of tropical aroma.

Full of flavour but easy to drink, we know it'll keep you coming back for more!"
